Job Description:

Role :– Engineering , Maintenance Stores Person

 

Deputy for Post Holder During Absence :- Eng. Maintenance Compliance & Site Services Co-ordinator & Despatch / Production

 

Responsible to :- a) Eng. Maintenance Compliance & Site Services Co-ordinator

                                       b) Engineering Manager

 

Objective :- Improving  and maintaining stock accuracy within the stores area and the company stock control system. Ensuring effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities :- ( This list is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be asked to carry out other duties within your capabilities).

 

  1. The Engineering Stores Supervisor will be required to drive through changes in processes and working practices to improve efficiencies in material control.
  2. Closely liaise with the Eng. Maintenance Compliance & Site Services Co-ordinator, for the ordering of all spares needed for planned maintenance, follow up, audit and corrective work.
  3. Report out for weekly/monthly reviews.
  4. Materials control.
  5. Ordering of materials and stock management.
  6. Maintenance of accurate records regarding stores activities.
  7. Work closely with the Engineering team to source urgent engineering consumable items.
  8. Developing and maintaining the Engineering Stores provision.
  9. Check deliveries and receipt goods into SHIRE system before locating these to agreed storage areas.
  10. Maintaining good standards of housekeeping.
  11. To perform other stores associated duties as required.
  • Monthly paid role
  • Wage: Circa £28,000 per annum.
  • 40-hour week 08.00 to 17.00. (1 hour break unpaid – either in a block or in 2 x 30mins)
  • No OT – time in lieu for hours worked above 40 hours.
  • 31 days holiday (inc BHs)
